About Fuel

Our mission is to create a comfortable, relevant and honest environment where men can explore and discuss aspects of life, purpose and faith.  We accomplish our mission by reviewing pertinent issues in men’s lives, examining them through relevant biblical principles, followed by a time of discussion with other men.

Fuel was born in 2002 out of the idea that men needed life skills training.  Training on how to live life better. Training in faith.  How to be a better man, a better husband, a better father, a better business man.  So a group of roughly 4-5 men, led by DR Carlson, started meeting every Wednesday morning at 6:30AM exploring their faith and slowly developed a small Christian community.  The group was called “TFM”, for Training Faithful Men, but unlike more instructional morning Bible studies, this group realized quickly that most guys who needed guidance would rarely want to go to a church to find it.

The group met in the basement of a commercial office, utilizing the junior high space of a local Bible church.  After 7 years a new venue was required to match the evolution of the ministry. We are an official 501 (c) 3 non-profit. We are not a church.  We are not affiliated with a particular church, nor do we espouse one particular doctrine. We are a Christ-centered ministry that welcomes men of all walks of life and diversity of faith.

Our mission starts at the tables.  Each table has an assigned leader who facilitates a conversation about the topic of the day, or the current series.  The group meets for an hour, from 7:00 AM until 8:00 AM on Friday mornings at the 1757 Golf Club in Dulles, Virginia.

Our rotation of qualified speakers includes pastors, counselors, businessmen, entrepreneurs, civil servants, community leaders, military leaders… people just like you.  Any man willing to come is invited.
